Badlands Warranty/Customer Service.
« on: January 26, 2009, 07:50:21 AM »
Hey guys/gals. I purchased a new Badlands 2200 pack this year and was pretty excited about using it because of all the positive feedback I have heard about it. Well I got my pack and instantly liked it, all except for one thing. I'm a smaller framed guy and I had a hard time getting the waist belt to fit. I had the waist straps pulled all the way tight on both sides, and was still not able to get a secure fit. Well I called Badlands and they gave me an RA# and told me to send the pack down and they would do what they had to in order to get me a good fit. I sent the pack down on the 12th and got it back on the 22nd. WOW. It took longer to get it when I order it from Cabelas. They ended up cutting down the waist belt for me and now it fits like a glove. Granted it is not picture perfect, you can tell they did some alteration but they really did a bang up job, I could not be happier. I've heard of their outstanding customer service, now I have experienced it. Stand up guys over there. I'll be purchasing all my future packs through them.

This is what you and any customer can expect from Badlands.  They don't dick around with customers and issues with their packs.  You are their first priority - always.

Wish I'd thought of that.  When the waist belt on my Badlands 2200 wouldn't fit snug, I just gained 40 lbs.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Hope they get it all tuned up for you....again great group of people over there. I hate getting new packs, I'd take my old one repaired rather then break in a new one!

I had three broken buckels, the zipper on the "back pad" had seperated, and the stitching was coming loose on one of the "wings" where it attaches to the main pack.  Plus the Aluminum stays on the inside kept turning and the edges were digging into my back...  It definitely needed a tune up! lol

They ask that it be returned with quote "2. Pack's must be clean and free of Blood and Any other Mysterious substances. "  :)

Thanks Jordan!  I appreciate it. The last pictures of you wearing it is where you can really tell the difference!

Guys, yesterday I relayed the sentiments of this post to the guys over at Badlands.  I'm working with them on some new designs and will be testing them this spring.  Anyone have the Diablo or any feedback you'd like to provide on it?  I'd love to hear it.

One thing to know about Vortex (parent company) is they would much rather fix something than have guys throw/give a pack away to buy a new one, even if they are buying another Badlands product.  They are focused on a more traditional business model of: design a great product, then stand behind it till the end.  They won't replace your packs unless you've really wasted them somehow (good luck with that...).
